FDCLA is not just a film festival. It's a cultural celebration of who we are as a people.
In a world where social identity is always in the spotlight.... it is a must to educate the masses about OUR IMPORTANCE to this society.
FDCLA is pushing to blast through those stereotypes.. and further our identity in a positive light. Through love and a celebration of culture, we plan to bridge people together with the highest form of art....FILM!!
It will always be a way of life for all of us on this executive committee.
We will always be proud of where our family roots are planted and we will forever be advocates for positive change.
FDCLA will be forever be connected to the community and it's love for film.

Great News! The Houston Film Commission has selected "Peor es Nada" as 1 of only 8 films to be a part of the Texas FilmMakers Showcase. They are flying me to L.A. where the film will be screened at the Directors Guild of America Theater.
I'm very proud and honored that this film is being recognized. Without the help of Ya'Ke Smith, Bart Weiss and very talented cast and crew none of this would have been possible. So thank you to all and congrats!
